Stan Cox: Press

Review

When I first heard Redneck Alabama on Lonnie Ratliff's newsletter I knew I had to have this cd. What a treat to see a new artist sing original songs - half of them written by Stan and his wife. I believe Stan Cox has achieved something few artists do today - his wonderfully rich voice and excellent choice of songs should appeal to traditional and new country music lovers. His obvious passion for his music makes you feel exactly what each song is meant for you to feel. I keep changing my mind about my favourite song - Goodbye Might Not Be The Thing To Do, Redneck Alabama, Hank & Lefty's Ghost , Roses, Sweet Choc'lates and Wine(written by Dixon Devore II), How Does a Man Cry and Patty's Gonna Cry - oh heck I really love them all. This is country music at its best. Listen and you will fall in love with Stan Cox. You can go to his website and click on music and then listen to the full song for five of these songs. http://www.standcox.com

Just love your new CD. Bill & I both have checked it out. The writing is fabulous and each song is special. Some of my favorites are: I THOUGHT YOU WERE SOMEBODY ELSE, THE GOOD STUFF, SHAME ON ME, SHAME ON YOU and IMPOSSIBLE DREAMS. This fine CD
has something for everyone. It will do well, for sure!! Cheers, Judy Welden
